Working Days
Members of the Society meet on Thursday mornings to deal with all the tasks that require attention to keep the railway running and looking smart. These range from track and signal maintenance to painting the infrastructure and overhauling locos and rolling stock. Plus once a month, members bring their own engines to run round the track.
And of course when we are running trains for the public there is a need for members to act as drivers, signalmen and station masters, for which full training is given. So there is a role for everyone – even those who don’t posses or build their own engines
